A letter from our Principal

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Boni Montessori School! I am proud to be the Founder and Principal of BMS, an authentic Montessori school serving the Brampton community. 

I am deeply passionate about education, something I surely acquired from my parents who were teachers themselves. From a young age, I knew that education played a critical role in a person’s life, and through my Montessori education, I came to learn just how important the first few years of a child’s development are. I received my Association Montessori Internationale (A.M.I.) diploma in Sri Lanka and worked internationally in Taiwan and Hong Kong prior to settling in Canada in the late 1980s. 

I have over thirty years of Montessori teaching experience, including in international environments, which provides me with a unique perspective of how the Montessori method positively impacts children of all backgrounds. My firsthand experience watching children flourish during their early years in Montessori programs fueled my conviction in the philosophy, and eventually, led me to open Boni Montessori School, so I could provide the highest quality Montessori education to young children. 

At Boni Montessori School, my number one priority is to deliver an authentic Montessori curriculum, taught by compassionate, qualified teachers, in an environment where all children are welcomed and feel a sense of belonging. In this child-centered environment, children are happy to choose and focus on their work and are better able to reach their full potential. I am also deeply committed to mentoring my team of teachers and using the knowledge and experience I have gained to shape the next generation of teachers.
